The things you think about
At random times I remember a question from a standardized test I had to take in grade 5 or so. It went something like this: "Kathy and Peggy both wanted some warm milk before bedtime. Kathy heated her milk on a pot on a stove. Peggy left her milk on the windowsill in the sun all afternoon. Kathy's milk was good. Peggy's was terrible. Why?" What followed were multiple choice answers, the correct one being that Peggy's milk had spoiled during the day.
To this day I have no idea what that question had to do with math or language skills.
